Frequently asked questions

The person signing the rental agreement and operating the boat must be 18 years of age or older — no exceptions. A valid government-issued photo ID will be checked at delivery. Passengers of any age are welcome on board as long as they meet the size and weight requirements, and all children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times as required by Florida law.
Florida law requires anyone born after January 1, 1988 to have a Boating Safety Education ID Card to operate a motorized vessel. Get it online at boat-ed.com in about 2 hours for around $14. Born before 1988? Just a valid driver's license. We check at delivery — no card, no cruise.
We require at least 48 hours advance notice. During peak season (November through April) we recommend 5–7 days ahead — boats fill fast. Last minute or prefer to talk it through? Call us at (239) 555-0100 and we'll do our best.

We collect a deposit at booking to hold your spot. The remaining balance is collected on delivery. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before your rental start time.
Yes — genuinely one of the most beginner-friendly boats on the water. The CraigCat has intuitive stick steering, incredible stability from its twin pontoon design, and responds exactly like you'd expect. Our walkthrough at delivery covers everything. Most people feel completely confident within the first 10 minutes.
Safety first. If there are active weather advisories or dangerous conditions on your date, we'll contact you to reschedule at no charge. SW Florida gets afternoon thunderstorms in summer — morning bookings are best June through September. We always monitor conditions proactively.
Absolutely — families love the CraigCat. Passengers must be at least 8 years old, at least 57 inches (4'9") tall, and weigh at least 90 lbs. All children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times. We provide USCG-approved PFDs in multiple sizes with every rental.
Maximum combined passenger weight of 600 lbs (two riders, up to 300 lbs each). This is a firm safety limit — please be honest when booking.
